The punishment for those that broke in, is due. I have no issue with them being held accountable. It is the double standard that has me pissed off beyond belief. There is PLENTY of video of people throwing cans, brick, bottles at officers and beating them and burning their police cars. There are videos of stores being broken in to and fires lit. I want to know when THOSE people are going to have every resources poured in to arresting them. The damage at the Capitol is about a week's work at best. Call a glass guy, a door guy and some custodians. Bam, done. Now think about those looking at their business burned to the ground and tell me where the priority should be?
You cannot in any way defend the looting, rioting, assault, and arson that took place all summer. Treat both equally. Whether that means leniency, or throwing the book at them. Everybody wants to be treated equal until it's your ass, then you want favors.
