1) Secure the borders - no action can reasonably be taken until this is done. Otherwise people will just keep streaming over
2) Those already here can apply for permanent resident status. You have one year to do so. That status grants you the right to live and work here. It does not grant you support from any federal programs. Choosing this path eliminates any right to apply for citizenship in the future
3) If you want to be a citizen you have one year to leave and get back in line.
4) Anyone deported one year after the bill is signed loses all rights to become a citizen now or in the future.
5) Expand the guest worker program
6) Simplify the process for becoming a citizen
