My stepson (now twenty five and awakened) told me when he graduated high school he wanted a first shift job that paid well, didn't have to work too hard, and had weekends off. I told him when he found one let me know. Out of our five for a while he was my least favorite child. Needy and clingy with his mom.
Gotta give the boy credit. He now works 8/6, Mon/Fri, with weekends off. But he did put in the time to get there. Married to a sweet little gal and two beautiful grandchildren. He also bought his first home earlier this year. Works hard and make sure he puts his family first. We are actually quite close and he calls on me more for advice before talking to his father.
While most millennials are spoiled, ungrateful little brats there are those that have become responsible, conservative young adults. Gotta admit, quite proud of him now.
He lived with us pretty much full time from fifteen to nineteen. I like to think I had a hand in that.
