My wife doesn't drive the "my" car because, while I taught her to drive a manual transmission, she's not comfortable with them. The wife also says that she would be absolutely horrified if she took the car and something happened to it.
We have an "our" car and a "her" car, and she prefers that I drive when we go someplace together.
