It was a joke, it was the Audi 5000 that had the "sudden acceleration" problem, not the "500".
BTW, that was all a scam to cover up for idiots that pressed the gas instead of the brake. All of the incidents were with automatic transmissions. In a battle between an auto trans, and the braking system, if the braking system is working at all, it will always win.
