I was usually shoot aperture priority but think I may have been manual that night. There was a two stop spread between some of the shots but the bursts were always identical. These were 1/800th ISO 1600 on all 6 frames. Canon 7D w/24-105L at 75mm. Wish my 5D3 had the frame rate of the 7D.

Frame rates are getting insane these days. The 7D MK II did 10, my R5 does 12 mechanical shutter and a whopping 20 electronic.
For this Eagle shot I set my 5D MK IV to shoot 4K video. I had the camera set to 30 FPS, with a shutter of 1600th/sec. This is a screen capture - one frame. The video itself looked terrible but I wasn't shooting for video I was shooting for a screen grab. It's a bit soft but overall the technique works well.
