And now the New York Times (of all places) is saying that up to 90% of positive COVID-19 tests should not be counted as positive because the tests are, essentially, too sensitive and pick up traces of infection in otherwise healthy, non-infectious individuals.

I guess the bloom is off the rose now.

And this comes off of the news last week where Texas walked back nearly all their numbers, which were grossly inflated due to "errors in reporting" somehow some way. Interesting that those "mistakes" always, and I do mean ALWAYS, go in one direction only.
