The '76 was a 500. Pollution controls took what used to be a fast cycle and slowed it down in '76. More restrictive air cleaner, exhaust and altered ports made the last year of the 500 triple a little slower. The positive aspect was the '76 had the best frame of the 500's
Most folks who had the KH500 ditched the air cleaner and exhaust. Now those parts bring good money for the folks who want to restore them.
