Can a smell REALLY get trapped in your nose?
I rebuilt the carb on my pressure washer and cleaned the gas tank and basically was working with gasoline for hours today.
I took a shower and put on clothes that were just washed (took them out of the dryer).
I have been watching TV upstairs for several hours and I keep smelling gasoline. It's driving me nuts. I have made three trips to the garage out of paranoia.
The pressure washer has no gas leaking. The filler cap is tight. No puddle under it, the bowl is dry, the fuel lines are dry.
The gas can is capped tightly, but it's empty anyway.
I used an old towel for wiping parts and it is submerged in a 5 gal. bucket with water and Purple Power.
I have washed my hands twice and put hand sanitizer on my hands thinking it was in my skin or something.
I am going to be up all night thinking about where it could be coming from...or if I really even smell it.
I would ask my wife, but she is sleeping.
Could it be trapped in my olfactories?
