If the rest of the world didn't do business with the USA during the same time period the USA was boycotting Cuba, the USA would have:

The only internet.
The only people to the moon. (well, we still do actually)
The only microprocessors.
The only cell phones.
The only personal computers.

I could go on. Of course it's entirely possible that other countries could have independently invented these things on their own. You'd have some sort of Soviet-made computer, likely the size of a refrigerator and it ran on 440V three phase and could process 8 bits like no tomorrow.

I will say that our space program greatly benefited from the German scientists we spirited over here after WW2, as did the Soviet's.
