I think I'm a bit younger than you (DOB 1950) and I also remember most -- but not all -- of it.
It's the Statler Brothers singing BTW. There are other versions of them doing it with different images.
"Moon" hubcaps? -- definitely remember them! I had baby moons on my new '68 Camaro. They were still "a thing" then.
