Nope, no ticks around here. Have literally spent decades in the woods hunting sunup to sundown and never picked one up. That's one of the things I don't miss about NC. Stayed out of the woods as much as possible when I lived there.
Stepped off the side of the road to piss behind a bush once and brushed a single leaf on my leg while wearing shorts. Got back in the car and noticed what appeared to be the shadow of a leaf on my leg
It was growing! Had to jump back out of the car and brush off hundreds of microscopic ticks. To hell with that!
