conclusive virus testing is via DNA isolation and incubation; it could never be
instant. CV virus testing on the best analyzers is a 3 hour test; 24 tests per kit, 2 are used for controls.... so that's 22 completed patient tests every 3 hours - per analyzer.
Instant screening tests (anti-body type) have a lot of false positives and false negatives. If a screen test says you're negative for CV... would you trust it ? If the screening was positive, that would lead to yet another test, a confirmatory type test (which is the current CDC variety).
