Dave was screaming hot in the early 00's. His comedy was edgy and absolutely on point. I would put Dave, at that time, against any of the greats; Pryor, Carlin, Williams, and any other you can imagine. Then, the whole management fukking with Dave happened. Dave left to get back to reality. He eventually came back in drips and drabs. Now, with this special, and very obviously, Dave is back to his original kick everybody's ass and let the chips fall where they may. You go, Dave. You're a fukking genius when it comes to knowing what comedy is supposed to be.
