The best years are always going to be the last year they were built. All of my input in this thread is for a guy looking for a cheap Corvette and not thinking about the cost if something other than the engine/trans breaks. The electronics for a C5 are rare and hard to find. If you have to pay someone for service, double the cost. I have owned C5,C6 and C7 and tracked all. For 25K I’d look at a high mileage C7 over the others. Parts are readily available and you can buy extended warranty for it.
