Correct. Everything went black, meaning total loss of power. The lights came back on, likely on a backup emergency generator, which wouldn't give the ship propulsion or steering. There could have been wind or strong currents pushing the ship, and the rudder may have failed in a hard turn position. Lots of things could have caused it. I've been involved in a few Root Cause Analyses for serious incidents, and the root cause is almost never what people think right after it happened.
