Why would we ever do that? It would make the enlightened Robin Hoods feel less superior to the poor peasants if you took away that dependence.
Liberals can claim "equality" and "fairness" all day long but in reality it is the exact opposite. They genuinely believe themselves to be superior and they really do think that the less intelligent, less fortunate masses NEED their guidance and support to survive.
