I can see both side of this argument, privacy etc...
My good friend found out she had 2 siblings and met her bio father she never knew, just a week before his passing. She felt it was one of the most amazing things she has ever done and has no regrets.
My DIL is unsure if she would even want to meet her birth parents, but has lots of interest in the genetic profiling aspect. She has time and time told me again how much she hates putting "unknown" on her family medical history and now having kids it bothers her more.
Think I may buy her the kit and what she does with it is up to her.
