Spence finances her college education completely. She then decides to waitress and babysit, rather than find something she enjoys, that falls within the scope of her degree. No discussion. No compromise. It's a 26-year old that's going to babysit for a living, after her father shelled out hundreds of thousands of dollars for her education. And financed a house for her to live in.
How about some appreciation? That doesn't mean she has to follow the career path he wants for her, but let's be freakin' realistic here.
