More or less...but do you remember myspace being so full of spam, and Facebook was basic with no spam? Well facebook is chock full of spam (albeit better than myspace was) google plus is basically a clean slate. It's different but at the same time not all that different from Facebook. Most people are posting the same stuff on both sites.
