I bought a car for my son and he made the payments for two years perfectly. He missed one payment but doubled up the next month. The following month i paid the car loan of 50k off with one payment. Dropped my credit score 85 points. My Mortgage rate is 2.85% for 30 years. As a Veteran i can get it down to 2.25% for 30 years if my credit score is 750 or above. It's 717 so i don't qualify. That would save me close to 400 a month. NEVER cosign for your children.
