Default Premade tuning

Hi all,

Two of the 'easy to use' tuners that I've found are the Diablo and the SCT. They can both be loaded with custom tunes that a tuner can email to you.

However, my understanding is that the Diablo will not hold the OEM tune in memory before loading in another tune curve, whereas the SCT will, is that correct?

When I had my Mustang, I was ready to pull the trigger on the SCT for that reason, but that was Ford based, and not GM.

Can anybody confirm whether or not my assumption is correct?

Are the tunes that are available through those programmers any good? A lot of people swear by them. Also, are there tuner vendors on here that I can support by getting one of their tunes for my car?

I'd really like the option of storing my original configuration as a file and if I need to, I can just reload that back into the car.
This is my only transportation, so sending my ECM out is not an option.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!!
