Exactly.
Any company the size of Coca-Cola or Nike is nearly immune to boycotts. And chances are they've already considered at length the results of implementing a certain policy or taking a particular stance on an issue.
That said, there's nothing wrong with boycotting a company per se. If it makes you feel better you should do it...just know that it doesn't matter to the company you're boycotting. Ralph Lauren was my favorite clothing manufacturer for decades. But ever since they pulled their sponsorship from Pro Golfer Justin Thomas for uttering a "homophobic slur" under his breath, I decided that my money is better spent elsewhere. But never for a minute did I sit back and expect Ralph to call me and say they were backing away from their decision because I'm no longer buying their clothes.
