Chuck Norris Has a New Show About Badass Military Vehicles
Because there's nothing the man can't do.
Chuck Norris is a man of many skills, both real and mythical. We’re definitely sure he’s a decorated Air Force veteran, a martial arts master, an accomplished actor, and a sage philosopher. And we’re pretty sure he once beat the sun in a staring contest, punched a cyclops between the eye, uppercutted a horse and created giraffes, and counted to infinity—twice. Now we can add HISTORY host to his ever-expanding résumé.
Tonight, Norris will showcase some of the craziest creations in Armed Forces history in the one-hour Chuck Norris’ Epic Guide to Military Vehicles. Tune in to see monsters like the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), developed for the Army and Marines and stronger than a Humvee; the Stryker, which packs heavy machine guns, automatic grenade launchers, and guided missiles into its 19-ton frame; and our favorite formidable, 65-ton tank, the M1A2 Abrams, among many others.
Norris is bringing some friends along for the ride, too. That includes Popular Mechanics’ own Joe Pappalardo, who in the exclusive clip above discusses the Army’s Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport (SMET) program, which produces robots that can carry up to 1,000 pounds of supplies for a nine-man infantry squad and can travel up to 60 miles over 72 days without refueling. Let’s see Norris do that.
Chuck Norris’ Epic Guide to Military Vehicles airs tonight at 9 ET/PT on HISTORY. Can’t wait until then? Watch another preview below.
