Re: finding something to do curls with, I remembered yesterday I have a set of those exercise band. If I use the toughest one and stand on it so that the handles only go up to my knees without stretching, I can stand straight up and do biceps curls that are actually slightly more challenging than on the machine.
I could only do about 18 before the burn as opposed to 23 reps I was at on the machine.
Not sure how much more of the band I can stand on to make them tougher. I don't think it's intended for a person to stand really close to the handles and stretch the hell out of it.
