Service or meeting, Charleston was the same in the way someone took advantage of a known soft target. Just like Pulse. All the attackers took advantage of a known soft target.
In Charleston, Dylann Roof disarmed his victims (emotionally) even more by PRAYING TOGETHER WITH THEM before shooting them.
The bottom line is that there will always be soft targets where the organizers are never going to allow individuals to carry concealed. The level of acceptable risk (attend or don’t attend) is up to each of us as individuals.
