Practice- most of our team is law enforcement on top of active recreational shooters, so yes. Talk things through frequently, and will probably spend a few minutes this evening prior to service debriefing and reminding the church of the ins and outs and what they are to do... Plan B is limited due to the layout of the church, but yeah, we have one. The trauma kit is the one area I have to work on- we have a very basic first aid kit, but not near what is needed..

My biggest fear in one of these type events is the little ones. We coach, teach and talk to them, but you never know how they will react.

And it really torques me off- I grew up where the House of God was a Refuge, a place of safety- not a fortress with a battle plan. But I will NOT sit by idly and let the people I love get hurt without at least having tried to prepare..
