Anyone coming in my church may be surprised if they think we are a soft target. After the events of the past few years, I'd put our Target Hardness Index just south of diamond...maybe Granite. Little church, LOTS of guns, a active shooter response plan, and at least one armed look out at all times.
Sad that you have to go to that level, even sadder is the fact that even with all the preparation, it is very likely that there would be some casualty, just due to the fact that we will always be reactionary, dealing with the actions of someone else.
We're lucky in that being a rural area, everyone is familiar with guns, my pastor's son is a local police chief, and our church is pretty conservative, so it's not going to spook anyone if my suit coat flips back and my Kimber is visible...
