I haven't talked to the FAA yet, but I wasn't Pilot in Command. I am just a traffic and news reporter. I'm sure they will be contacting me.
The only thing I will say was that at the last second, I was worried that the airplane was going to cartwheel. It didn't. The wing clipped the ground and we slammed (violently) into the VASI Lights (Visual Approach Slope Indicator) and destroyed them. Somewhere in there was a prop strike as well.
It sounds stupid, but the world seems a little slower for me today. It was a very odd, and scary, experience.
Oh, and I'm a little bit sore. But no worse for wear I think.
