That's funny but I would say not unless it has a light weight frame. Limp wrist malfunctions are a feature of light frames. Steel being heavier than plastic (or aluminum?) resists recoiling with the slide.
In order to get best accuracy the gun should be basically floating on air when fired. Relaxed shooting with the 1911 is how I was taught in boot camp. During that training experience I was so relaxed after one shot that the front sight hit me between the eyes. Dazed the crap out of me
