Cleaned it off , grabbed some EvaDur welding rod and TIG welded the hub to the fan blades.( actually closer to brazing with that low temp rod )

It's working great and my replacement blower fan wheel ( $90 off ebay) will be here Thursday
They call those a squirrel cage, and yes, they can go out of balance and self destruct. I did a couple of repairs on mine back in VA, but it was easier just getting the cage.
