I ran a compression check and the results were 180-182 PSI for the highest and 165 PSI for the lowest. Most were around 170-175 PSI. I read that a 10% variance in the cylinder PSI was acceptable, meaning that the engine passed. My question is 165-180 PSI is definately higher than nomal compression for a standard 350, Right?
Also, is it possible to determine the compression ratio with this information?
no if it's a 70 it was a high compression engine. my 69 is a 350/300 base engine with 10.25/1 ratio I would expect it to have around 180 readings.
