To work it out just using the two sides (not the hypotenuse) then it would be:

tan(a) = y/x = 6/29

a = arctan(6/29) = 11.69 degrees

I'm thinking this is really your angle since there's no way your hypotenuse is 29.5 with the other two sides being 29 and 6 respectively. There's a measurement error there. I mean, it's probably very close to 29.5, but if the other two sides are precisely 29 and 6 respectively, the hypotenuse is actually:

sqrt(6^2 + 29^2) = 29.61 inches.
