I witnessed this first-hand in the 1980s, as my brother threatened my parents with it on a regular basis, and they caved to him, so he grew up without boundaries. This is why he's an unemployed 41 year old living in Mom's house in a retirement community.
So yeah, that's about when I realized this world ain't getting any better anytime soon.
Of course, parents were unionized liberals, so no sympathy from me, for the mess they created.
