These are a complete set of front and rear stainless steedisc brake pistons using the original lip design seal. I bought these years ago from Stainless Steel Corporation (note their logo on the pistons) when auto-xing my 72 LT-1 coupe. The SS pistons are impervious to corrosion and don't transmit heat to the brake fluid in the caliper as quickly as the aluminum pistons do.
I'm also including a set of front and rear SS piston installer rings. Both the inside of the ring and the rubber seal are lubricated with brake fluid. The ring is placed over the top of the piston less the outer seal. The ring is insert over the top of the piston with the beveled side down and pushed over the top of the seal flattening out the edges as the piston slides upward. The
ring and piston are placed in the bore of the caliper (don't forget the return spring) and the piston is pushed into the bore w/o damage to the seal's lip. Holding he piston in the bore, apply the outer seal and use the SS ring on top of the seal's metal band to tamp everything into place.
Selling both the pistons and installers for $170 plus shipping PayPal or money order. (Since the pistons themselves weight about 10 lbs, I recommend shipping via Priority Mails $4.90 flat rate box. Definitely cheaper than Fed Ex or UPS.) I you live near the Hampton Roads area, we might be able to work out a delivery scheme.)
