Oh, the joys of home ownership! It's always something.
We're getting ready to leave now to go get the spring cut. The hardest part is finding somewhere that will sell the spring to the home owner. Most places I called the only way to get it is to have it professionally installed.

I could not find them either. I called a local garage door company and asked if they sold their installation kits. I got two springs that way.
