Default Bonding fender extensions (going back to under-car exhaust)

Hey, all.

At some point, hopefully in the not too distant future, I'll be yanking the nasty sidepipes off of my '63, and going back to under-car exhaust. I have gathered up nearly everything that'll be required to get it done now.

Among those items are the front and rear lower fender tips that had been amputated. I'm seeking advice about how best to go about fitting and bonding these to the body. I'm thinking they'll need to be trimmed to fit, and edge-bonded, as well as having a layer of 'glass bonded across the joints on the backside.

Does anyone here have experience with this? Anyone have close-up photos of these areas of the body from the front side and back side?

TIA!

Live well,

SJW
