Default Rock and Roll

we had a heavy rain storm a few days ago, about 1.75" of rain in one day, several heavy portions. some of the rain water made its way down the gravel driveway and then spilled down the embankment where the arroyo crosses under the driveway, eroding some of the embankment away.

not good long term.

so i go a load (1/2 ton) of large river rock yesterday, and this morning filled in the eroded channel. first placed a large boulder at the bottom, next to some horizontal phone pole sections that form a retaining wall (held in place with T posts driven into the ground, 2 each end), that the water was going around.

carried a few buckets of rock down and placed them above the large boulder, then moved the truck and proceeded to fill up a 5 gallon bucket with rocks, and roll them down the embankment until the eroded section was filled in pretty well.

that's my rock and roll chore for the day.
