One of the guys on the Home Model Engine Machinist forum built a scaled down version in .22LR
He did make the comment that if you remove the handle and attach an electric drill, you've made an illegal machine gun. He went on to mention the BATFE would be visiting you and then "providing you" with room and board for the next 10 years.
