I brought Sadie with me for the hike...we have hiked the rest of this 18-mile trail (in pieces), but saved this part for last. Today was the right time.  I formally 'introduced' her to Cosmo and Clara, and thanked them for allowing me to pay forward the love I gave to them, to her now. The grief has come full-circle.  |
