I've reconsidered my original answer after studying the question.
The key word, which I overlooked before, is not "Dick", as that is a given, but the word "Was", it implies past tense. So I'm changing my answer to "no" you were not a dick, you still are one.
My reasoning being that if it were past tense it would imply that while you were one you are not one now. That is not the case, you are still a dick, I do not believe it appropriate to imply you no longer are one.
I'd like to examine this a bit further, while you were a dick, and still are a dick, I'd be willing to bet you still will be a dick in the future.
In the end it comes down to you were one while still being one and always will be.
