With some tweaking (shutting down backround apps mainly) battery draw is minimal. Now an LG i had would drain the battery in half an hr inside a store trying to get a location lock. It would be almost too hot to touch by then, total POS. Another issue with battery drain regardless of manufacturer is cell reception strength and if you're between towers it'll keep switching and battery life goes down I have found.
When looking for a phone the larger the battery the longer the life and some are available with larger addon batteries even. The cheap phone have small batteries and don't last long.
I had two Samsung's both the battery would last tops of 8 hours. I shut down every background app and they would die in 8 hours. My iPhone 11 I use heavily for work and charge every two to three days. I average around 5 hours of screen time a day between calls, text messages and looking things up. I get most of my admin notifications on the phone and do most of the approvals and such from my phone. I log in to office and get my emails and appointments as well.
The battery life is great on the 11, I had about the same results with the iPhoneX as well.
