Increased taxes in a down economy will lengthen the recession. I am for tax reform however. If done properly, could bring in more revenue without increasing income taxes.

I have to ask ... how does one continue to espouse the tea party manifesto after getting a grand deal of 3.75 to 1 ($3.75 Trillion slash to entiltlements to $1 Triilion in Corp. eleimination of tax loopholes & subsidies) ... rejecting it and plunging the global markets into over $4 Trillion in losses in 2 weeks ?
