I was looking at Enterprise Rent A Car the other day. Our local office had closed down due to Covid. They have that happy little window on their page 'chat with an agent for help'. ALL I wanted to know was if the local office had reopened. I clicked on it. Waited a couple of minutes. Finally some auto-scripts or something started rolling with the regular goofy questions before the real person came online. "How can I help you today?" "Is the office for 30701 back open for biz?" pause....wait....still waiting..."Can I get your name and phone number?" me:" Is the 30701 location open for biz?" "I'll be glad to help you with that." "Can I get your name and phone number for one of our agents to call you?" me: "It's a simple question! I don't want anyone calling! If I had wanted a phone call I would have called it myself!" A total waste of 20 minutes with that nonsense.
