Or... and I know this sounds crazy... he could have just taken the incredibly simple and drama free route of showing it in the first place.
What would happen if Chas went in for a job interview where a requirement was to show proof that you are legal to work here (like pretty much any company has) and you refused to show them proof? I started working at GE and I had to show 2 forms of ID proving I was legal. Big f'n deal. I did it.
I am not saying that he should divulge his credit card statements and Jr. High love letters but when one of the requirements for Presidency is spelled out in the Constitution itself I don't feel like providing proof of that is too much to ask.
