I had a gay room mate for a few months when I was in the Army and it didn't bother me.
I recall a discussion I had with him about how people react when they found out he was gay. He was confused why most guys automatically assumed he was attracted to them. He told me that if a guy had women crawling all over them, that was probably the same guy gays guys thought was hot. A guy with women all over the place probably isn't going to have his sexuality threatened by another guy. He told me it was usually the fat and ugly hicks that no one thinks are attractive that caused the biggest stink.
