When I failed my Physical ( really bad eyesight) . I regrets not serving and I see the constant denigrating of those who wish to serve. |
4 years of kolledge, August of '66 I was rejected by AF and Navy, so enlisted in Army....Ft. Holibird in Bawltimore....train south to camp in the Carolinas.....krazy time, 3rd platoon to be there for basic since WW2.....stupid bunks with no springs/slats, slept worse than a hammock.....got up one AM and nearly fell over, commanded by Doc at base infirmary to touch my toes, bad lo spine/sac region....about fell over again, they caught me that time.....medical discharge......I really wanted to do/get electronic schooling in the AF or Navy.....oh well......
