My 11 year old Samsung 55" is dying, the picture has intermittent ghosting and recently, intermittently is a little darker, adjusting the backlight doesn't seem to help, it just does what it wants to....sometimes sterling, clear pic, sometimes ghosting, even with a blueray source. This is a bedroom TV, so it gets used very little, not every day.

So I'm considering upgrading with a new one, figured I'd go a little bigger since I'm willing to drop money on this. Considering these two choices. One seems to be a '19 model, one is a 'refurbished' '18 model.

WWVB choose?

Pros: Under $ 500. New.
Con: 60 Hz refresh rate (edit: Dell says it's a 120Hz refresh)

Pros: 240 Hz refresh rate, seems to be a better picture, more features I probably won't use
Cons: $ 700, 'refurbished'
