When they brought you around after the surgery was completed, did you have the same opinion?
I had a knee replacement in 2021 that was more difficult than expected. When I was coming out of the anesthesia, the nurse told me I said "thanks dad" as my first words back, at that time he had been dead for a couple years.

Not sure what happens but I think we continue on with our loved ones on both sides of the veil.
