My new Dell laptop isn't any better than the 3 year-old ASS-is was. It's even worse in some ways, it boots slower and wakes slower after sleeping. I've pared the start-up process down to bare bones but it doesn't seem to help.

My parents have the one you added as an attachment. GET. THE. WARRANTY!
They wanted to give me both of theirs to get something manual. Nope. Not falling for that. When you put your feet up, the seat also reclines. There is no in-between. I find them uncomfortable at best.
